Deeper Than the Reef: My Con Dao Wreck Diving Adventure with Amadive Con Dao.|I Dived a Shipwreck in Con Dao: An Adventure with Amadive Con Dao.|The Ghost Ship of Con Dao: My Wreck Dive with Amadive.
When I planned my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I expected vibrant coral reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But then I discovered something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My pulse jumped. This was more than a typical reef dive; this was an adventure into the past.
I'll admit, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the crew at **Amadive** were absolutely professional. The PADI guides provided an excellent briefing. We covered our safety procedures, the history of the sunken ship, and what to expect below. Being in such a small group instantly made me feel confident.
Going down was surreal. First, it's a dark shape in the blue, and then it appeared. It was huge. The ship is now a thriving artificial reef, covered in soft corals and teeming with marine life. We saw big groupers peeking from inside the cargo hold, and lionfish hiding in the cracks. That feeling of gliding alongside this silent, ghostly structure was hard to describe—haunting, beautiful, and humbling all at once. It's a piece of history under the water.
For any an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and looking for something more the standard reef, I urge you this **dive** enough. It was the unforgettable highlight click here of my Vietnam trip. A massive thank you to the **Amadive Con Dao** team for their professionalism and for making this incredible adventure so safe.
